1. General Questions

Q: What is GAC (Golden Age Care)?

  • GAC is a three-layer safety system designed for aging parents living in China, combining home sensors, AI behavior modeling, and a 30-minute human response network.

Q: Do parents need a smartphone or app?

  • No. Parents do not need to download or use any app. Everything runs automatically.

Q: Can my parent turn off the system?

  • No actions are required from parents, but the system can be paused or adjusted from the child’s dashboard.

2. Installation & Setup

Q: Do I need to be in China to install the devices?

  • No. Anyone in the home (relative, neighbor, caregiver) can follow the simple installation guide.

Q: How long does installation take?

  • Most families complete setup in 10–15 minutes.

Q: Can I add more sensors later?

  • Yes. The system is expandable and supports additional sensors at any time.

Q: Does the system need Wi-Fi?

  • The Home Hub requires Wi-Fi or LTE backup. Sensors themselves do not connect to Wi-Fi.

Q: What if a sensor battery runs low?

  • You will receive a notification in your dashboard ahead of time.

3. Safety Pendant Questions

Q: What happens when the SOS button is pressed?

  • A signal is sent to the GAC system, AI verifies the context, and the 30-minute response workflow begins if the risk is confirmed.

Q: Does it include fall detection?

  • Yes, depending on the model selected.

Q: Is the pendant waterproof?

  • It is splash-proof and suitable for everyday use.

4. Alerts & Notifications

Q: How accurate are the alerts?

  • Alerts are based on AI behavior modeling and cross-verification to reduce false alarms.

Q: Who receives notifications?

  • The child (or family member) registered in the dashboard.

Q: Are there nighttime alerts?

  • Yes. The system detects abnormal nighttime behavior, including unusual bathroom trips or inactivity.

5. Response Network (SLA)

Q: What does “30-minute SLA response” mean?

  • A human responder will follow up within 30 minutes of a confirmed emergency event.

Q: What cities currently support the response network?

  • GAC currently supports 20+ major cities in China, expanding continuously.

Q: Does the responder enter the home?

  • Only if authorized and appropriate. Otherwise, they will assist with phone calls or emergency coordination.

6. Privacy & Data

Q: Does GAC use cameras?

  • No. The system is 100% camera-free and audio-free.

Q: What data is collected?

  • Only behavioral and environmental signals (movement, door activity, etc.).

Q: Is data shared with third parties?

  • No. Data is encrypted and never sold or shared.
